No, we aren't running Thougtseize mainboard. Kinda weird, I know. But I had some inspiration for a new type of Nicol Bolas tribal. A superfriends Aggro-Hate deck.
Running multiple copies of select board wipes such as Extinction Event, Ritual of Soot, and Anger the Gods, this deck keeps things like Elves, Mono-Green, Goblins, certain Combo Decks, and many others under control. We have spot removals such as our powerful planeswalkers and Heartless Act for creatures that may dodge our board wipes, and things like Ugin and Ashiok to get rid of game-winning cards that may not be creatures.
The control elements are great, but so is our variety of other Planeswalkers and creatures.
Chandra, Torch of Defiance is an excellent ramp tool to pave the way into cards such as Ugin and Nicol Bolas, God Pharoh extremely quickly, also pairing in ramp artifacts, like Coldsteel Heart and Letter of Acceptance.
Glorybringer and Nicol Bolas the Ravager are the creatures that have been included. The Ravager can be a blocker, hand-hate, and an incredibly powerful asset one flipped into a Planeswalker. Glorybringer lowers life total, can hit Planeswalkers immediately as the turn it enters, and if you exert it, it can deal an extra FOUR damage to a select target.
So as we use multiple ramp artifacts, to get us into heavy hitters, we can control the board long enough until we get amazing Planeswalkers on the battlefield and win the game!
You can add Thoutseize if you wish, and the only other inclusion would be some for of lifegain.
