Play cards, try to find Emry, Lurker of the Loch
early. Feel free to play Stonecoil Serpent
early, as it can be brought back later through Emry or a 4+ Dance of the Manse
. Midnight Clock
is an extra mana source and an eventual stallbreaker if opponent is trying to stabilize against your topdeck mode. All That Glitters
adds incredible amounts of power to something and can be laid on either your Stonecoil Serpent (since it tramples) or Gingerbrute
(since it can become nearly unblockable).
Changes from linked deck:
-2 Ugin, the Ineffable
- too slow, Dance is more immediately impactful if for some reason you reach 6 mana, and there isn't really that much of a need to lower mana costs in such a low curved deck.
+2 Lazotep Plating
- Good for a quick blowout for important removal against things like giant Stonecoils or Glitter-enhanced Gingerbrutes, among other things.
(sideboard):
-3 Scrabbling Claws
- This really only impacts Esper Dance, but there's a much scarier card for that.
+3 Ashiok, Dream Render
- Keeps Esper Dance's graveyard clean, locks out Field of the Dead
ramp spells.
