Oko-banned community tournament results

Results are in from our last Community tournament before the November 18th ban announcement we saw a lot of variety and interesting decklists. While we don't know what tomorrow brings in terms of bannings I hope these decks give you some inspirations for new decks to try out in the coming weeks.

1st. Angelmaldita

There has been a lot of cat sacrifices going on in MTG Arena lately, they are popular with the priests and is a snug fit in the Witch's Oven. A new trend in this deck is snagging babies with Claim the Firstborn. Not sure where Angelmaldita got this idea, maybe from playing too much Death Stranding, but it worked out quite well! Drill Bit helps to disrupt their hand by very often costing 1 mana and being able to target anything except lands.

2nd. DonnerstagsDrafter

Embercleave has shown to be no joke in Gruul and the same seems to be true in Red Black Aggro as well. a lot of strong one and two drops makes this deck able quickly run over the opponent. Drill Bit is also included here and works wonders with Stormfist Crusader and if there is one thing you need to cross off your MTGA bucket list it is swinging in with a Rotting Regisaur equipped with an Embercleave! 5th. Bmbl

Here comes the Fires of Invention deck, this time with two Kenrith, the Returned King. It is funny to see these promo-only cards made for more casual formats like Commander make it into the Standard metagame, yes Nexus of Fate, I am looking at you. Jeskai seems to be the go-to colors with Fires decks and it will be interesting to see how these decks evolve.

And we are not done with unique decks taking top8, we are now over to Izzet and this has no drakes or phoenixes! In the main deck at least. Sila played a very interested Tempo deck which is really hard to play in tournaments like these where the meta is mostly unknown and this deck capitalizes on disrupting your opponent's strategies.

Steve took all the good cards he could find in Black and green and took a top placement with this nice Adventure deck. Vraska and Liliana need no additional introduction as both of them have proven they can completely dominate a game when resolved. Rankle, Master of Pranks is a card you need to look out for as he is also a game stealer if left untouched.

9th. Acroma

I want to touch quickly on 9th place too as this is yet another unique deck. Playing on the adventure synergy it is a green-white deck focusing on playing small creatures and pumping them up to beat down the opponent. Decks like these rely on putting out creatures from turn one and keep up the pressure until the opponent breaks down.
