Description

WIP Sarulf Midrange Control.

Cast Counter spells. Control the board. Eat the Realm.

I feel like people are taking the wrong direction with the Eater, in trying to destroy the opponents permanents in aid of pumping him... to destroy permantents.

I've tried a few directions myself.  Mostly you want to stay away from cheap permanents, cause he eats them.  I tried a sacrifice shell to avoid the exile, and while cards like Village Ritesimage can be strong here, the flow didn't feel correct.  The deck was originally called Wolf of Wall street and featured Portcullis Vineimage as another sac you could do prior to eating the realm.

After a bunch of play, I've found aiming on keeping the Eater on the board is a much better strategy. Effects the add counters at instant speed are ridiculous.  Tyrite Sanctumimage (which no one seems to play) has become the bomb here, as well as Snakeskin Veilimage (which some others run), allowing Invigorating Surgeimage to become a kill card.

Gingerbute and the Questing Beastimage  are light as the only creatures, but they usually stick around once on the table as a result of Heroic Interventionimage and the Snakeskin Veilimage.  The Adventure Awaitsimage' are there for some dig incase you can't find them.
