Description

Grixis Pirates! AHOY!

The goal of this deck is to slow down aggro until you can overwhelm them from value generated by the Scarab God. THe amount of fliers often means that if you get Beckett Brass out you are defintley stealing some creatures. You don't mind chump blocking with your fliers because at 5 mana your bringing them back stronger.

Against a control matchup you are trying to overwhlm them with straight up good value creatures. Your smaller pirates tend to be good bait, eating your opponents counter spells and buy the time you are dropping Karn or Scarab God they either have very few counter spells left, OR your board state is too dangerous with a bunch of tiny pirates. Siren Stormtamer protects you from wipes and any removal. (You tryna Settle the Wreckage me? nah, NOT TODAY!

With the mono red aggro and control RUNNING rampant on MTGA, i find it is best to suprise you opponent, by playing something they don't quite expect!
