This deck is mainly built around two different things: Nicol Bolas planeswalkers and As Foretold.
As Foretold
seems like an incredible add to the control decks, especially for Grixis. If played on curve, this card could be a really trheat during the rest of the game. Immagine play a Thought Erasure
or a single target removal for free before casting a Nicol Bolas more safely. Also, you can play a spell for free during your opponent turn, even if your tapped out!
The rest of the deck has a standard Grixis control structure: single target removal (I prefer Bedevil
over other 3 mana removal because artifact are a thing (Embercleave
, Bolas's Citadel
, Witch's Oven
...)); mass removal in the form of Cry of the Carnarium
and Extinction Event
(I think that the exile effect is more powerful in most of the situation).
At last I want to talk about the other two cards from Amonkhet Remastered that I added: Torment of Hailfire
and Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh
. These two cards can be combined together to drain a big amount of healt from your opponent and maybe win the game istantly!
The deck and the sideboard are not definitive, they are the result of my personal opinion and how I want to play the game, so be free to experiment new cards and new strategies.
