Top Standard Decks - June 2025

How is everyone's assessment of MTG Final Fantasy for the Standard meta so far? Are the previews proving to be as insightful as everyone hopes they will be? Because in the next three days, the rounds of data for Standard including is bound to finally begin. As such, this will be the last time we shall check the current meta that is devoid of any UB sets.

So far... it's as expected of Izzet and Jeskai. The two have effectively pushed out the likes of Golgari, Orzhov, and Esper from the top 8 that we have been very used to seeing so far, starting 2025. At least Azorius Control and 4C Overlords still hold that meta semblance well, which were the original markers of the surviving meta decks immediately after Bloomburrow was released.

Standard Tournament Meta - Top 8 Decks

Esper Pixie is effectively out of the top 8 this month, buried under each of Shiko and Oculus Jeskai variants. Omniscience actually took a few steps further to 4th place, stabilizing its position further. This is then followed very closely by the other late 2024 representative, 4C Overlords. And yes, the top places are your usual blend of Izzet Prowess, Mono Red Wins and Dimir Aggro, respectively.

Standard MTG Arena: Best of Three - Top 8 Decks

With Golgari out of the picture, June 2025's top 8 meta then welcomes a "brand new" Sultai entry featuring the Regents representing the colors of the deck. Oddly enough, Omniscience Combo failed to maintain its position in Bo3, dangling just outside the list at 9th. Mono Red is also surprisingly at the tail end of the list, when it's usually going toe-to-toe with either Dimir and Mono Black from 1st to 4th place. Esper Pixies is not just out of the top 8, but it is hurled completely all the way down to 20th place.

Standard MTG Arena: Best of One - Top 8 Decks

The takeover of red splashes continues in Bo1, with five out of the top 8 decks a combination of Red, and three out of four of them being Aggro. Simulacrum Synthesizer decks once again perfectly take hold of Bo1 6th place for the third time, seemingly stabilized in this position with Omniscience Combo just one place above it (like last time). And yes, Esper Pixies is once again kicked completely out of this list.
