Ashiok is a nice add for blue in this deck. I struggled with real value with blue in this deck. I switched from blue to green with Binding of the Titans, Arboreal Grazer, Glowspore Shaman and Klothys, God of Destiny. The reason why is I was having a hard time getting lands, for the match I would be stuck at 5 or 6. only casting a Phoenix each turn. Now Binding of Titans gives me a land or creature, Glowspore Shaman grabs a land back to do some color fixing. Im winning twice as much easily.

Ashiok, Dream Render has been super sweet. Being able to pull yourself and exile their graveyard is really great.

I updated the list to what I'm running now. It seems pretty good. It races very well. Dead Weight and Mire's Grasp have felt really good, they synergize with Tymaret Calls The Dead. I also moved up to 24 lands and cut Ox down 1 copy and Kroxa to 1. Bedevil lets us remove some problem artifacts and it's hard removal vs G/W enchantments, which I agree is a tough match up. Murderous Rider is here as a third bedevil that combos with Tymaret if we mill the card.

I have been running 3 Phoenix of Ash, 2 Ox's and that seems to be enough. Only difference I have is that I put 4 Sweet Oblivion in for the Narcomoebas. Maybe that is why I only need 3 Phoenix's. The deck works well in 2 ways, it puts up enough board protection so you can mill and get your weapons ready and is it very resilient against early creature removal. The one problem is against these mono white decks. This deck needs hard creature removal but it is easy to mill your creature removal too!

The deck should have fabled passages instead of temples. I have already made that switch and it is a huge +. I agree about the Ox, it is very rough when it's stuck in hand but it's super sweet so I wanted to be in as much as possible, I've dropped it down to two.

Hey! I have been toying around with Phoenix of Ash and Ox of Agonas all weekend and came up with something very similar. I tried using Sage of Mysteries to mill myself by playing Auras and I threw in Storm Herald to bounce them back in play but it just lacked consistency. I want to try using your deck on Arena but I don't have enough Rares/Mythics naturally. especially to blow them on Narcomoebas! One thing though is that I think you can knock down 1 or 2 Ox of Agonas. its good not great.
