The current meta on Arena seems rather redundant and grindy, making my me think about other ways to play the game. This deck, based on High Alert
is not new, but usually seen in Bant colors, with the addition of Arcades, the Strategist
. I only have one of those and because M '20 comes out in just over a month, and it seems unlikely Ill ever use it in a meta deck, so I do not advise spending Wild Cards on one.
The Removal of Green and addition of Red allows us to use Electrostatic Field
and Erratic Cyclops
as useful tools in this achetype. It also makes Solar Blaze
useful, due to your creatures having 0/* nearly all the time, making it a board wipe for most of/or all of your opponents creatures.
Huatli, the Sun's Heart
is great for gaining big life, and an OK replacement for High Alert if you dont draw one. Using Red damage spells keeps the board clean in the early game and Time Wipe
for the big wipe. God-Eternal Oketra
does work in this deck. A potential 6/6 with Double Strike is brutal.
