Remember Selesnia tokens? I do...and Rhys the Redeemed
makes it a lot better.
It's not really the traditional way to build a tokens deck, but I've had pretty good luck with it! It took me into Diamond tier. Somehow, I've avoided playing the hyper meta decks with this one. It's nice playing against everyone's Mono Black, and Jank Combos!
Basically stack the board with as many tokens as possible, pump them with Trostani Discordant
, and swing wide! Obviously this deck is very weak to board wipes, but I added a couple of Unbreakable Formation
s just in case!
You could easily sub out the Growing Rites of Itlimoc // Itlimoc, Cradle of the Sun
for any of the "Maybe Board" suggestions. Venerated Loxadon would've been the more traditional route when building a tokens deck, but I wanted to have fun with it. I've dropped some pretty insane March of the Multitudes
with that card. :)
