Today we are trying out Grixis Dragons, well sort of. The decklist is mostly red but splashes blue for Sarkhan, Soul Aflame
, Slip Out the Back
, and Ill-Timed Explosion
, and splashes black for Rivaz of the Claw
. Both Sarkhan, Soul Alfame and Rivaz of the Claw are insanely strong dragon support pieces which help to lead some powerful dragons being played on turn 4. Invasion of Tarkir // Defiant Thundermaw
and in particular its flipped face Defiant Thundermaw
is best dragon in deck because of it's powerful ability which can be doubled with Roaming Throne
to roast down our opponent. We are playing burn spells to help flip the invasion while also act as removal. Incinerator of the Guilty
is a new dragon to standard and functions as nice top end which can Sarkhan, Soul Aflame can copy for immediate value. This makes its board sweeping ability much more powerful since it can basically attack as if it had haste!
This deck was based on @HelloGoodGame 's dragons decks.
