Submission for Day9's "What The Deck?" Lorehold vs Quandrix theme.
The plan is to mill our powerful instants and sorceries and recast them for, hopefully, free.
The gameplan:
Early turns (1, 2, 3): Play out our Excavated Wall and Lorehold Excavation to get our mill started. Chandra's Regulator lets us discard spells we can't cast ast the moment as well.
Payoff: Efreet Flamepainter and Radiant Scrollwielder let us cast our milled spells, FLamepainter even doing so for free and grabbing two thanks to Access Tunnel.
So what instants and sorceries do we have?
4 Lightning Helix, a card of legends to kill creatures or blast our opponent in the face at the incredibly cheap cost of 2 mana.
4 Lorehold Command. A Lightning helix that comes with an extra 3/2, saves our creatures, or lets us sac a land to draw two
As an extra benefit of these two, Radiant Scrollwielder doubles the life we gain since it grants the spells lifelink in addition to the written out lifegain.
Immolating Gyre and Sundering Stroke: One-sided board wipes, and in the cast of Stroke, a potential 7 to the face both gaining us life with Scrollwielder's ability.
So let's get excavating!
