This deck seeks to make use of Naban's ability to copy wizard ETB effects. As such, Panharmonicon
gives us an additional copy of said effect. However, since this is by necessity a creature-heavy deck, we still want to smash our opponents in the face with plenty of wizards. Since those are not normally very strong creatures, a host of anthems have been added.
I'm not usually one for combos, but the Ghostly Flicker
/ Illusionist's Stratagem
with Naru Meha, Master Wizard
combination allows for some interesting plays. Combined, for example, with Overwhelmed Apprentice
, you can create an infinite loop to mill your opponents out. Yeah, I hate infinite loops. But you know, sometimes you have those people in your playgroup, and you need to fight fire with fire. Or blue with blue.
Finally, there's the "shenanigans" category of cards, which does fun stuff that can win a game. Like, replace all your 2/2 wizards with 5/5 dragons who can also fly, via Day of the Dragons
. Or good ol' Mass Manipulation
, cause if you can't win with your own creatures, maybe your opponents' creatures can help!
