Description

Took a break from Izzet Control to give this deck another try, it is still a WIP. There are tons of Dimir decks floating around as it is, but I thought I would share anyways. So far it has been performing well in Bo3. Really enjoy the surveil playstyle over Izzet, but I still love you Niv-Mizzet, Parunimage.

:: Updates ::

v1.1 :: Removed the super situational cards from the sideboard and replaced them with Unmoored Egoimage. How could I have forgot about Unmoored Egoimage??

v1.2 :: Played a ton of games tonight in Bo3. Forgot to track the deck changes but I dropped and added quite a bit of stuff. Being able to sideboard in to a more tempo style so you can win before you get hit in the face for 20 from Expansion // Explosionimage or Banefireimage seems like a better route.

v1.3 :: Trying out more cards, will be less consistent in the current state though.

v1.4 :: Feels pretty decent now, slowly trimming the fat of the deck. Added Disinformation Campaignimage back in after testing without them and increased the number of Thief of Sanityimages in the sideboard since it usually takes a few tries to get one to stick against control.

Was doing okay with the 1.2 list, I've mostly just been testing out cards and seeing what feels decent. The deck on here is going to change constantly until I get settled into something that fits my play style.The Bo1 version was a lot easier to work out.

So how are you doing with it? I played 2 BO3 now and droped 2 times at 1 win. I dont know what went wrong but I lost card atvantage almost every game + had some very unlucky land topdecks. I guess i never lost 0/2 but if i won it always was damn close. I feel like fungal infection + Plaguecrafter could work great against some b/g explore decks. I put that in my sideboard instead of Spybug and Thoughtbound Phantasm since I almost never found me surveiling.

This version is mostly just for testing right now. With the sideboard space I could slot in cards that couldn't make the cut for the Bo1 version but I still think are great cards, like Thoughtbound Phantasm. I honestly haven't played enough Bo3 with this deck to really make any hard decisions for what works and what doesn't. Just posted it because a few people were asking. Once I get more hours into the deck it will be obvious what should and shouldn't be mainboarded

I went with your surveil BO1 deck to 6, 7, 5, and 7, wins the last days. Im new to the game and want to do BO3 now. I wonder why your starting deck is so different to the BO1 deck here. I thought BO3 is just playing the same deck but get some situational cards, to counter decks. Is the meta in BO3 so different?
Btw I absolutly love your BO1 surveil deck. I mean i never got over 3 Wins in BO1 and with your deck I instand got to 6 wins! Thanks a lot!!!
