Learn more Download For WindowsWith Guilds of Ravnica around the corner, I tried to brew one of my favorite decks, before it goes live: Selesnya Tokens.
The new set comes with some new tools for this deck with the new cards with Convoke:
Venerated Loxodon can be played as early as turn 3, droping a good body and putting counters on every creature that helped on convoking.
March of the Multitudes makes Selesnya able to create huge boards, but also refilling them after a wipe later in the game.
Finally Conclave Tribunal is a cheap removal when you have a board of tokens.
Guilds of Ravnica also gives us Emmara, Soul of the Accord, a two mana 2/2 that generates tokens every time she is tapped, that has a good synergy with the Convoke cards; and Knight of Autumn, a card that makes us able to choose between deal with artifacts and enchantments or have a reasonable body on the board.
These three card are our token generators, all of them are self-explanatory.
Shanna, Sisay's Legacy, Benalish Marshal and Pride of Conquerors make our huge boards of 1/1 tokens a real threat for our opponent.
Finally, Shalai, Voice of Plenty protects our board with Hexproof and pumps our guys on the late game with her ability and I added Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants as a way to keep putting counters on the tokens and return threats like Shanna, Sisay's Legacy or Emmara, Soul of the Accord from the graveyard.
On the sideboard, there's some basic removal like Seal Away or Settle the Wreckage; Huatli, Radiant Champion for the slower match-ups and last but not least I added Make a Stand because some AoE cards that are on Standard and will be added on GRN, are difficult to deal with for this deck, so I can bring it from the sideboard for Pride of Conquerors on these match-ups.
The mana base has 24 lands, all of them white sources, to be able to play Benalish Marshal and History of Benalia consistently on turn 3.

One card that is pretty good and I forgot about when I did this guide is Flower // Flourish, probably replacing 3 lands for them.
Aldo, I will cut some Venerated Loxodon as it is underperforming and put some Conclave Tribunal on Mainboard.

I built this deck in Arena and went 4-X 3 times in a row in Competitive Constructed, which is amazing. Especially since we have to consider that Green/Black or Mono Green Stompy is the deck to beat & our start is mostly slower.
