Learn more Download For WindowsAn early attempt at a grindy superfriends deck with the one-size-fits-all win condition of a Teferi, Hero of Dominaria ult. Apart from Dominaria Teferi, we're running two copies of Ajani, the Greathearted for his pseudo-proliferate (and life gain in a pinch) and two copies of Gideon Blackblade for some early pressure and to try and bait out removal. Teferi, Time Raveler helps us land planeswalkers against control matchups and force them to play on their turn, while Kasmina, Enigmatic Mentor serves a similar protection role when our walkers are on the board. The other two one-of planeswalkers consist of Narset, Parter of Veils to slam the brakes on draw-heavy decks like U/R spellslingers and some U/W control variants, and Karn, Scion of Urza because he fits in every deck and can make a body in a pinch.
We're running 13 value creatures that all either ramp or proliferate, with the remaining cards devoted mainly to keeping us in the game: 3 board wipes (2 Settle the Wreckage and 1 Time Wipe), 3 oblivion ring effects, and a little bit of draw to reload.
All in all I've been having a blast testing this deck, but it really suffers against mono red burn, most stompy variants i've seen, and fast token decks. The creature matchups are much better if you start with a board wipe in hand and there are a few copies of Gideon's Sacrifice in the sideboard to stall things out by using our more niche walkers to fog for a turn or two. As far as control matchups go its a mixed bag. Draw-go style variants are particularly hard to deal with so I slapped a couple of Emergence Zones in the sideboard to try and force out their counters late in the game. It might also be worth putting two copies of Dovin's Veto in the sideboard for that matchup as well. Teyo is in the sideboard as a potential include against smaller creature decks like goblins and as an answer to Thought Erasure and Duress. A few copies of Jace, Wielder of Mysteries are there as well, serving as a silver bullet replacing either the Flux Channelers or the board wipes against mill decks.
