Abzan Counters is fast out of the gate and consistant with the 3rd color. Conclave Mentor on 2 is always ideal, optional is luminarch or inscription counters. Big combos with conclave and any counter creatures. Get in the face of control decks early, distrupt combos with instant speed removal, if you fall behind in an aggro match up just hang out till 4 and get bigger than them with Basri's Lt. or Polukranos. Hitting a kicked inscription on 5 will often out pace any aggro deck. A successful Emeria's Call late ends the game. Oran-Reif Ooze explodes the board with counters when comboed with Conclave Mentor and no decks can keep up. Skyclave Apparition speaks for itself. Cubwarden and Gemrazer work amazing with 80% of the monsters in the deck (The 0/0 baseline stat creatures and mentor itself if need be) making them instantly doubled in size. I've been running Abzan Counters since Zendikar Rising launch and i'm in love with it.
