Every game is a puzzle.

This deck is for people that are normally inclined towards playing combo decks and midrange decks. Be forewarned, extensive math is required for correct play, as you will constantly need to perform damage and lifegain calculations. This deck is extremely rewarding, effective, and as-of-now unique for its  Tymaret Calls the Dead  + Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger synergy, which is just bonkers.

Calling the dead.

Tymaret Calls the Dead is a must include. Do not remove this card from the deck, or you will have to take out Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger. Tymaret Calls the Dead puts Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger into the graveyard, while also filling it enough for escape to be used. If you have drawn early Tymaret Calls the Dead, strongly consider playing same on turn three because you will have a decent chance of having a turn four Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger.

If you enable full-control, you can sacrifice Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger before it sacrifices itself. Do this with Ayara, First of Locthwain, Priest of Forgotten Gods, or Witch's Oven.

Card advantage is pretty good.

These cards enables a ludicrous amount of card draw, and are provide excellent synergy to your cat-engine (Cauldron Familiar + Witch's Oven).

Nice to land something useful.

Fabled Passage at 4x is necessary due to triggering Mayhem Devil and filling your graveyard for Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger. If you draw this in your opening hand and drew no tap lands, you might want to pop this first to enable a smooth curve.

Flex those spots.

Do not modify the list with any cards but the following. There is a very specific reason for most inclusions, and altering the list can greatly impact the various synergies:

• Just 1x Ayara, First of Locthwain could be removed, but it is not advisable. This a card you want on turn three, and you need multiples- it will be a priority removal target for your opponent.
•  The Akroan War, which sometimes is replaced with Rankle, Master of Pranks, Erebos, Bleak-Hearted, Nightmare Shepherd, Elspeth's Nightmare, Erebos's Intervention, Bonecrusher Giant, and/or a 24th land.
•  Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger can go from a 3-of to a 4-of, but it is not advisable to drop below 3x, as you will be hurting the strength of Tymaret Calls the Dead with only 2x or less copies.
• Midnight Reaper- at times I'm running anywhere between 0 and 4x copies.

Life is like a box of sideboarding.

Still a work in progress. That said:

• Underworld Dreams is amazing against any control deck.
• Pharika's Libation is for Fires of Invention and is the only black-mana enchantment removal.
• Agonizing Remorse is essentially a Thought Erasure. Great against control that runs some creatures as well.
• Eat to Extinction Planeswalker and creature removal with an exile effect.
• Disfigure when you lose game one to a rush down. Make use of it for combat tricks as well.

Lastly, with regard to mulligans - I tend to keep most 3-land hands.
