Every game is a puzzle.

This deck is for people that are normally inclined towards playing combo decks and midrange decks. Be forewarned, extensive math is required for correct play, as you will constantly need to perform damage and lifegain calculations. This deck is extremely rewarding, effective, and as-of-now unique for its  Tymaret Calls the Deadimage  + Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hungerimage synergy, which is just bonkers.

Calling the dead.

image

Tymaret Calls the Deadimage is a must include. Do not remove this card from the deck, or you will have to take out Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hungerimage. Tymaret Calls the Deadimage puts Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hungerimage into the graveyard, while also filling it enough for escape to be used. If you have drawn early Tymaret Calls the Deadimage, strongly consider playing same on turn three because you will have a decent chance of having a turn four Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hungerimage.

 Unleash the Kroxa[n].

image

If you enable full-control, you can sacrifice Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hungerimage before it sacrifices itself. Do this with Ayara, First of Locthwainimage, Priest of Forgotten Godsimage, or Witch's Ovenimage.

Card advantage is pretty good.

image image image image

These cards enables a ludicrous amount of card draw, and are provide excellent synergy to your cat-engine (Cauldron Familiarimage + Witch's Ovenimage).

Nice to land something useful.

image

Fabled Passageimage at 4x is necessary due to triggering Mayhem Devilimage and filling your graveyard for Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hungerimage. If you draw this in your opening hand and drew no tap lands, you might want to pop this first to enable a smooth curve.

Flex those spots.

Do not modify the list with any cards but the following. There is a very specific reason for most inclusions, and altering the list can greatly impact the various synergies:

Life is like a box of sideboarding.

Still a work in progress. That said:

Lastly, with regard to mulligans - I tend to keep most 3-land hands.

Obviously, red letters are a code message xS. 3 mana seems loaded, it's hard to find to find a good curve, so ferewell to woe strider idea. Castles seem many, meybe 1 less, 2 are many times the right number, but you have life to use and deck is almost mono black xD. That tymareth's saga screams aphemia, but that's for another deck. Good work, good luck and have fun.
