Welcome to this combo/midrange/control deck!
The global strategy is to use the ability of Greasefang, Okiba Boss, to make great things with vehicles.
On the offensive way, you want to use powerful vehicles (Parhelion II, Skysovereign, Ovalchase Dragster, etc.) to outclass the creatures of your opponent. To do this, the deck contains some permanents with a selfdiscard ability (Rotting Regisaur, Seasonned Hallowblade, Liliana Waker of the Dead. etc.) that allows you to put some vehicles in your graveyard. Greasefang reanimate them and they gains haste to immediatly attack. Here, the malus of selfdiscarding is a bonus! Furthermore, the abilities of creatures that require discarding a card are usually powerful, such indestructibility to withstand your own sweepers.
The Defensive strategy consist mainly to cast wrath (the deck contains 9 wrath card) and versatile spot removals, for which the Orzhov colour combination excels, against every kind of threat (creature, enchantment, artefact, planeswalker, etc.). The reanimating strategy between Greasefang and vehicle can also override counterspells decks. With three cards : a selfdiscard permanent, Greasefang and a vehicle, you can have, each turn, an automatic loop, needing no additional resource or mana investment.
Special analysis of used cards :
1. The deck contains 12 vehicles. Each of them has been chosen for their powerful ability. A turn three Parhelion II (Seasonned Hallowblade played turn two, that discards Parhelion II ; turn three you play Greasengang, that reanimate the Parhelion II) is overwhelming, and you can repeat the combo the next turn. Special mention for Conqueror's Galleon. After transformation, in late game, it ensures that you have a wrath card or an other powerful card every turn. Skysovereign and Surgehacker Mech provide remote damage, Ovalchase Dragster and Untethered Express have the trample, and the others may give extra card (Weatherlignt, Reckoning Blaster and Daredevil Dragster [if it stay on the board]). You dont need a lot of vehicles to win. I won several games with one or two vehicles only.
Important note: the crew cost of the vehicles is never greater than 4, in order to prevent your Commander from being able to pilot them.
2. The creatures have also been specially selected to resist sweepers and to selfdiscard. The two exceptions are Lion'Sash, to empty the opposing graveyard, and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobit, because this decks allows you to go far in the game.
3. The planeswalkers supports the global strategy : protecting (Gideon), exiling permanents, cleaning the opponent graveyard and ensuring recursivity of Greasefang (the two Kaya), selfmilling, selfdiscarding, destroying permanent, etc. (the three Liliana), drawing and creating creatures to pilots the vehicles (Karn and Liliana, Dreadhorde general), etc. They are very important, especially as they are resistant to sweepers.
Conclusion :
The deck is very pleasant to play. It can get out of a tight spot and turn the game around by putting a lot of pressure on the opponent once its board is cleared. I hope you enjoy it!
