Learn more Download For WindowsThis is my new deck for M21 standard I play in BO1 MTG Arena.
The deck combines cards like Cindervines, Klothys, God of Destiny and Ionize to gradually take a toll on an opponent's board all while deploying threats of our own.
I have been going back and forth between two versions of this deck where the first one has 3 Cindervines and the second has only 2 but includes copies of Wilt to cycle away.
The rest of the deck is straightforward Brazen Borrower, Bonecrusher Giant and Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath to dominate the board. The deck also includes a few copies of Scorching Dragonfire, Storm's Wrath and Chandra, Awakened Inferno.
The deck deals well with Doom Foretold, Embercleave as well as Lucky Clover thanks to Cindervines and Wilt which the later can be cycled if not needed. Even against decks that use the graveyard find themselves a bit short due to Klothys exiling a card every turn and Questing Beast can simply bypass smaller creatures of sacrifice decks for the finishing blow.
The lifegain and damage provided by Klothys as well as Uro keeps you going and the deck just feels like it always have good hands since the cards are pretty much all good.
Even without creatures, the damage stacking of Klothys, Cindervines and Ionize can straight out kill your opponent and if they do not, Uro or Questing Beast can simply finish them off.
I was really surprised by how well it worked and the ease to play it as well.
I previously had other cards in the deck namely Questing Beast, Frilled Mystic and Expansion // Explosion but I found that I sometimes had trouble if the opponent would fill the board so I cut them in favor of Storm's Wrath and left the Uro & Beanstalk as bodies in the field since they do not die from its damage.
