Some synergies:
Aggravated Assault
+ Savage Ventmaw
= Infinite combat steps. The savage ventmaw creates 6 mana when it attacks, use five of it to activate Aggravated assault, there is another Combat followed by another Main Phase. This nets you 1 red or green mana each time, and each combat step will have another Xenagos trigger to make your boys beefier!
Fierce Empath
usually gets Savage Ventmaw to trigger the infinite combat steps. Otherwise:
- Regal Behemoth
makes you the Monarch - Ruric Thar, the Unbowed hoses spellslinger and enchantress decks.
- Terastodon and Woodfall Primus are good removal stapled onto beefy boys.
- Siege Behemoth can cause a blow out if you already have a board established.
- Archetype of Endurance is another option to hose spellslinger decks.
Whenever possible get out mana doublers. Regal Behemoth
is reliable (also adding Monarchy to the mix) but will send aggro your way. Keeper of Progenitus
doesn't draw creatures your way but is riskier, because ALL naya basic lands in the game will now tap for double mana, not just your own. Mana doublers are important for dropping as many boys as possible.
Secret tech:
Rhythm of the Wild
+ Hydra Broodmaster
Rhythym is just a good combo piece all around, but if you pump a shit load of mana into the hydra (say, creating 7 7/7 Hydras) the enchantment allows you to give them all Haste.
