This is a storm deck for Historic utilising Bolas's citadel to storm off and win with Tendrils of Agony.
This deck uses an old standard/early historic combo engine involving explore + Bolas's Citadel. This deck has been on the fringes of playability with the additions of cards like Mazemind Tome
, Azusa, Lost but Seeking
and Dryad of the Ilysian Grove
to help witht he land lock issue and Phyrexian Tower
to help accellerate to Citadel.
Now, with the inclusion of storm cards I feel this deck is in a much better place to be competitive - in particular using Weather the Storm
to extend Citadel, gameplay by restoring our life (while also coming in clutch if we are against a burn or aggro deck) and Tendrils of Agony
to finish out the game (rather than just using Citadel as was the previous plan).
Sideboard is WIP, atm thinking partially transformative into GB midrange explore.
