The main combo pieces are Zombie Infestation
and Unconventional Tactics
to create a revolving door of discards and zombies. Then cards like Routhless Sniper and Binding Mummy
take advantage of the discard and zombies to control the board at instant speed.
As part of the setup required to get this combo humming, you'll need to find multiple Unconventional Tactics, and get enough land(4+) on the board to take advantage of them. This can be a challenge, so Crucible of Worlds
helps out by allowing you to both discard lands early on to stall for time, and still play the lands for the mana you'll eventually need.
Due to Unconventional Tactics and Crucible of Worlds, this deck benefits from zombie self mill cards like Mire Triton
and Stitcher's Supplier

Murderous Rider
is there to help deal with opponent's bombs.
Liliana, Dreadhorde General
and Priest of Forgotten Gods
are in the deck as value engines / bombs.
The deck doesn't have a response to artifacts or enchantments, and Priest of Forgotten Gods can be a hard bomb to get online, so it might be worth replacing her with more responses like Heliod's Intervention
, Mortify
or Disenchant
.
Knowing when to attempt to control the board seems to be key. If you attempt to control too early (before acquiring enough combo peices), the discard could starve you. If you wait too long, depending on the deck you are playing, you won't be able to get ahead. I'd advise setup through turn 3, and then try to play during your opponents turn as much as possible, but make sure not to drop below 2 cards in hand when doing so.
