A simple, efficiënt red-green aggro deck with a midrange feel to it.
I've had an easy time climbing gold with this deck in standard, but I don't think it's tier 1.
Maybe a tier 2 though.
Objective
There's not that much to it.
You play creatures on curve and try have at least one 4 power creature on the board because it has synergy with The First Iroan Games
and Anax, Hardened in the Forge
.
There is also some satyr synergy going on. Keep that in mind.
Card purpose
- Gallia of the Endless Dance
This is simply a powerful card that fits perfectly in a red-green aggro deck plus it has card draw. - Careless Celebrant
It's a satyr so it has synergy with Gallia and the 2 damage effect is very useful when playing against other aggro or midrange decks. - Anax, Hardened in the Forge
A value card that has synergy with Gallia and 4 power creatures. - Gruul Spellbreaker
In most cases you want to give this the +1+1 counter option so you have a 4 power creature on the board. - The First Iroan Games
This card is absolutely nuts. It's a lot of value and easy card draw. - The Akroan War
This card by itself is really strong. And since this deck doesn't really have any removal it's super useful.
It's often that little bit of extra help you need to get through your enemy's defenses.
Tips
- Always try to keep a The First Iroan Games in your opening hand. This card is a real power play and it's your main source for card draw.
- Keep in mind that when Anax, Hardened in the Forge dies with 4 power, it still creates 2 satyrs.
- Don't forget that Gallia of the Endless Dance increases the attack of your other satyrs and gives them haste.
Sideboard
I'm still not a 100% sure about the sideboard, so feel free to experiment.
- Destiny Spinner
This is for when you're playing against counter decks because it protects your enchantments
(this means Anax, Hardened in the Forge is protected as well).
It's also a pretty decent tempo and value card. - Return to Nature
I thought about using Cindervines but I think Return to Nature is better in the current meta.
