If you can get to a situation on your board with General's Enforcer
+ at least 2 from the 3 crucials (Cruel Celebrant
, Teysa Karlov
and/or Syr Konrad, the Grim
) + some tokens and/or other creatures to burn, 1 Kaya's Wrath
will win you the game. But the nice thing is you often don't even need to get there to bring home the win.
Works great against Mutate decks, Mono-white, Mono-red and Gruul decks. Control decks are a pain, but I did win a game or two against Control too, if they don't find an early wipe or that annoying Agent.
But you can make it work against Ramp decks and some Control decks if you go traditional using the sideboard. In the main deck Syr Konrad, the Grim, General's Enforcer and General Kudro of Drannith
already can get something done against escaping bullies, but you can really punish them using Kaya, Orzhov Usurper
.
This deck was inspired by an Orzhov Lurrus Companion Deck (Lurrus loves 2 drops, user unknown) that was fun to play, but failed for me a lot. I completely reworked the deck, but tried to keep what was fun about it (lots of creatures/small damage abilities combo). Its my first creation that actually seems to work and is lots of fun to play if you like combo decks. :) So far 22 wins / 16 loss (Mythic 81%). Only downside is that I couldn't find a way to make it work with a Companion. I love to hear suggestions/reactions.
