Description

Jeskai Aggro 3/19/24

Based on AceMTG’s and other Jeskai Control builds, this deck aims to put immediate pressure on our opponents while utilizing timely removal and counterspells on threats. This deck also incorporates Imodane’s Recruiter and Gleeful Demolitionimage, two Boros Convoke concepts, into its core strategy.

UPSIDES:

-Quick deck: we are running several one drop cards that have great value such as Spyglass Sirenimage, Novice Inspectorimage, and Gleeful Demolitionimage.

-Room for growth: the creatures in this deck have potential to get bigger as the game progresses.

-Middlegame threats: Chrome Host Seedsharkimage pairs nicely with the non-creature spells in the deck and can serve as a token generating machine for late game; Zurgo and Ojutaiimage also set us up nicely for late-game drops.

-Flexibility: we have spot removal and counterspells as well as aggressive play and token generation along with passive damage from Warleader’s Call.

DOWNSIDES:

-As with any deck, spot removal and counterspells will do a number on this build.

-Control decks give this deck fits.

-We don’t have a big finisher, but smaller threats that can be eliminated a bit too easily, especially if the Warleader’s Call doesn’t come online.

BOTTOM LINE:

This is an aggressive build designed to put pressure on your opponents early while keeping their threats off the board while our creature base grows wide and large. There are a lot of fine synergies in this build that can undermine our opponent and force them to play defense early and often.
