Learn more Download For WindowsYour standard gruul aggro with some techy tweaks that make it more fun to play (imo) and adding some fun mini combos!
Migratory Greathorn + either hellhound or brushfire is one of your ideal starting plays, boosting your landfall creature very quickly.
Ashaya triggers landfall, makes every other creature played going forward a landfall trigger, and gets big itself. Slapping embercleave on either a mutated brushfire or ashaya will quickly win games.
Adventure cards are pretty self explanatory and just great value for us.
Radha and Questing Beast are just #goodcards that I happen to own one each of, that synergize well with the deck, but they are not critical. I have considered terror of the peaks as well, as it combos nicely with ashaya and lovestruck beast, but it is a bit slow, and our landfall creatures synergize poorly with it. Still mulling that over.
Drawing a 2nd or 3rd greathorn can sometimes be frustrating if you have nothing to mutate, which is why I cut back to 3, but running 4 is perfectly fine.
Skyclave Pick-Axe is a decent budget replacement for embercleave if you want to lean into landfall combos more heavily, but losing trample is kind of a dealbreaker for me, and I think you will win more games with the ol reliable cleave.
Hope you enjoy it!
