Far into the desolate, freezing north, surrounded by and , there lies a hidden factory. A factory created in secret by an infamous Sojourner to create an unstoppable supply of Golems. Even within the landscapes themselves slumber, waiting for nosy adventurers or bold spies to make their last step towards said factory. Everything about the deadly surroundings make sure that it will never be found by any mortal, and even if they do, they won’t live to tell the tale.
The Factory’s Golems
The Golems that are being created, can be separated in three different kinds.
The : These are the Golems of the lesser kind. Because of their thick icy shell that’s easily gathered from the factory’s surrounding climate, these Golems are very cost effective, but are not strong enough to produce en masse.
The Regular : These are the Golems that are being mass produced by the Splicers. Because of the Splicers’ skills and with a little help from some of the Sojourners’ tricks, these Golems can go beyond their base power in no time.
The : These are the Golems that are the bulkiest and the strongest of the bunch. They aren’t being mass produced either, but are kept safe for the occasion when real strength is needed. They draw their power from other machinery surrounding them, granting them the ability to strike unreasonably hard and precise.
The Factory’s Workers
The workers within the factory are called Splicers. They have been hand picked by the Sojourner for their handicraft and skills with deadly machinery. The Splicers can also be separated into different kinds, for each of them has a different set of skills and plays a different role in the production process.
The : These Splicers give the Golems their weapons. Making sure the blades are as light and sharp as possible, they make sure that the Golems’ strikes will outspeed most opponents.
The : These Splicers deliver the final touches of the production process, making sure the Golems are in formidable shape. They also check on the work the other Splicers have delivered and make any adjustment wherever necessary.
The : These Splicers only work in a certain section of the factory, where they grant the Golems they work on the ability to fly, so they can get to any target without being obstructed.
The : These Splicers work in a different section of the factory as well, where they make sure the Golems’ sensors are in supernatural shape. No threat, not even a movement will go unnoticed by these.
All of the Splicers’ have been taught how to use the spell from the Sojourner - who has in turn completely mastered this spell himself - to enhance their production speeds up to unnatural rates.
The Factory’s Machinery
Guarding the factory’s gates stand the . Even though they seem to be completely statuary, once activated they can turn into some of the factory’s trademark Golems themselves, to make sure no uninvited guest takes a step inside.
In the middle of the factory stands the very impressive . Injected with some of the Sojourners magic, it grants the residing Splicers their supernatural abilities.
The Splicers also get to work with , which grants the Golems nearly superpower.
Lastly, the Splicers also get to make use of the s, which effectively double their productive use of .
The Factory’s Overseers
Lastly, there are the persons who oversee and manage the factory. The first one, who is always present and only follows the Sojourners instructions, is . Originating from the plane of Kaladesh, she knows her way around machinery like no other, and makes sure the Splicers do the best work they possibly can. She also works as the spokesperson and protector of the factory, granting her help in any way possible.
And then, of course, there is himself. Being an actual Planeswalker and master of the Ephemerate ability and with years of experience on Mirrodin, he is a force to be reckoned with. Once he gets involved in anything, it will always go his way, or he might make it literally disappear from existence.
