Description

Bo1 Grinder:

I've been working on this deck for quite a while and this version is the best I've got so far. I've running this deck for a couple of weeks and I usually get a minimum of 4 wins. I've got  7-x quite often.

Usually you gonna see more aggro than midrange or control in this event, what is great because with this list you can deal very well with those aggro decks due to cards like Ritual of Soot, Moment of Craving, Cleasing Nova and Golden Demisse.

Many list doesn't run Lyra or any creature at all but in my opinion those lists are inferior than lists that can rely on powerfull creatures such as Lyra and Chromium. Lyra can easly turn the table in you favor, even if you are at very low life and Chromium is very powerful against Control decks. That's why I run both of them.

Bo3:

I've running (not as much as I did in bo1) this list in bo3 and it has a good amount of success. The minimum that I've got with this deck was 3 wins, and I also could manage to get 5-x in some of those runs.

Here you gonna find more control decks than Aggro. You also will find Golgari quite often.
The main deck is not optimal to fight against control, but you can manage to beat them even in the first match. After the first match, you can add cards from you sideboard that suits better against a control or midrange deck.

Against control you will find much value on an extra copy of The Eldest Reborn. Cards like Ixalan's Binding and in Unmoored Ego are also awesome against control.

Against Aggro, you also have great options such as Fungal Infection, which can deal with cards like Adanto Vanguard in Boros Aggro and Llanowar Elves. You can always add an extra copy of Golden Demisse

Against Golgari you will obviously add Blood Operative. You probably gonna need that extra copy of The Eldest Reborn to deal with as many Carnages as you can. You can also deal with Tyrant using Unmoored Ego. Fungal Infection can be a nice response to Llanowar Elves to avoid their ramp.

Against Izzet Drakes you will add Blood Operative, Unmoored Ego and that copy of Ixalan's Binding to deal with drakes, specially Niv-Mizzet. Blood Operative will deal with their Phoenix and Unmoored Ego will also deal with them.

Thief of Sanity:

This card is really awesome against decks that has fews (or lacks) removals. Nevertheless it can be useful against almost any deck. If you drop it and if it sticks around without a quickly response, you gonna lock your opponent game and will beat them.

As a newb I struggle with the concept of BO3. I really enjoy esper and dimir decks in BO1 and feel like I understand how to play them, but sideboarding is a blank for me. I appreciate your deck and explanation but my question is: When adding cards in from sideboard, what cards are you taking out?
