[ELD] Calamity Red!
This deck is based around the idea to have Cavalcade of Calamity
and Torbran, Thane of Red Fell
out to do serious damage along with your 1/1 creatures.
The 1-mana-first-strike creatures, Grim Initiate
and Fervent Champion
, will help against some of the early opponent creatures. Also, their power of 1 is great for Calamity. If Grim Initiate gets destroyed, it amasses, which helps.
Onto the noble Torbran, Thane of Red Fell. This card is really good given that it amplifies the damage dealt by a red source. For exmaple, having at least 3 1/1 creatures and with a single Cavalcade of Calamity, that's 9 damage directly to the opponent (from Calamity's trigger), and another 9 damage to opponent, if they do not block. Also, another way to put heavy damage/lethal is if you have Electrostatic Field
along with Torbran on the field, and Shock
s/ Instants spells to spare. Each Shock would give 7 damage to the opponent from Torbran and Electrostatic Field's triggers.
I'm sure there are better ways to optimize this deck, but I'm sure this deck is fun to play with, and have fun with it. Feel free to comment below for suggestions on it. Thanks!
