Winota meets Idefix (dogmatix)
I wanted to work with the Dog Tribal in Standard, so I let the dogs out.
Now we have the card in form of the Strixhaven 'Blade Historian' to make it work.
It is still a Winota Deck. It tries to find Kenrith and the Blade Historian with dogs.
Kenrith pays one red and you get in the best case, trampe and double strike for your
pack. If uncontested we win on turn five. Wipes are our biggest concern but we are
still in the game after a wipe, but we need 4 Lands. 24 Lands and the Revitalize are
for this purpose, I also tested Omen of the Sun on curve, but the tokens do not
trigger Winota, so it made no difference.
Some times, when you do not find Winota or Blade Historian the Pack Leader seals the deal.
(Stonebinde'rs Familiar can be replaced, but I wanted to have an additional dog on this slot)
(sidenotes: Sideboard is not the final version. I play 4 Fight as One now and some
Elite Speebinders.
For Bo1 replace the 3 Reviltalize and 1 Stonebinder's Familiar with 4 Professor of Symbology.
Sejiri Shelter and Shatterskull Smashing are our lands 21-24 with an upside
an a downside.
After a Boardwipe we usually still have, due to Alpine Houndmaster, dogs on our hand.
A hasty dog cmc 1 or 2 would be fun)
I made Diamond 4 to Diamond 2 with this, but it is more fun without
the pressure of competion. RW daylies are fast made with this.
Regardless, I try to grind with it to mythic.
