Learn more Download For WindowsThe inspiration for this monstrosity was simple. I saw Crystalline Giant and wanted to make a deck to play with racking up different counters. The versions I saw on here were either very aggro focusing on r/g or more towards an artifact theme. Thought i'd play around with something in the middle that fits my playstyle better. There are 16 removal spells to help clear the way and some fun choices to keep the deck moving forward. *Bonus: No mythics :)
Most of the card choices are pretty self explanatory, but I wanted to highlight a few decisions:
1) Grimdancer: Pretty versatile 3 drop. Can get you life gain, a deathtouch blocker, or menace to get that damage through. Even if you lose it, The Ozolith will find those counters a good home
2) Nightveil Predator: I needed a final resting place for all of the counters that won't get stolen by agent of treachery or bounced. Since i did not include counterspells, this has been working out.
3) The Ozolith: The fancy, beefed up, giants are bound to be board wiped or otherwise removed so this is the safeguard. People will usually avoid removing it, aiming for the more immediate threats.
4) I included an amass subtheme with Callous Dismissal and Enter the God-Eternals. These can take care of threats while also building a board to help with aggro as well as feeding The Ozolith.
