Introduction
Mono-Black has been able to be consistently strong over the last few sets in Standard and it's time to do a rotation update once again. Though I play more aggro oriented than the meta mid-range.
Early Pressure
Going full ham on low cost creatures that can hit quickly to attempt to get an edge early game.
Discard Suite
It seems that discard is a lot more powerful than usual in Black right now.
Removal Spells
These cover most of what you're going to see on a daily basis.
Card Draw/Graveyard Retrieval
Card draw is always touch and go in black, usually needing a trade off to get a card advantage.
Finisher Cards
Sideboard
Extract the Truth is the answer that Black needed against White and its enchantment exile cards if you can't Duress or Pilfer it out before it hits the battlefield. Graveyard Trespasser is to fight against Tenacious Underdog, flashback and graveyard fetching.
