Add at least 100 different cards to your collection and set it as your Compare Collection on the manage page to see what cards from this deck you are missing.
Compare your MTG Arena Collection with AetherHub decklists or any other decks found on the web with the MTGA Assistant extension. Syncing your account will automatically upload your collection so you can see what cards you are missing right here.
Learn more Download For WindowsI live in roughly GMT timezone. This deck loses in daytime but quite reliably wins in the evening.
The deck is steadily moving up through gold ranking on MGTA, better than I expected.
This obnoxious deck mills the opponent by having Baral, Chief of Compliance and Teferi's Tutelage in play.
The deck aims to trigger the Tutelage off of Baral's loot ability from playing counterspells.
I recently added Disallow to the deck and it helped me a lot.
It won me a game against shrines and can also counter Gaea's Blessing's passive ability.
Whirlwind Denial might be a good budget option for this and might even be better against trigger-heavy decks like lifegain, Yorion etc.
I figure that the option to counter abilities should also be able to shut down the Cauldron Familiar combo or at least delay it.
Keep in mind that countering an ability does not activate Baral's triggered ability.
Baral's Expertise can be very helpful, as it allows you to clean up an undesirable boardstate while at the same time allowing you to play your more expensive cards. It's basically free, considering you play it for 4 mana most of the time and it lets you play a 4 mana spell for free.
Ideally you foretell Saw It Coming turn 2, then if you play a land and Baral on turn 3, you can keep baral save with the 1 mana counterspell. Bouncing your Baral with Eyes Everywhere will also save it.
Whenever possible you should have Saw It Coming foretold, this allows you to (kinda) safely cast your more expensive spells.
I find it helpful to Keep a Baral in hand lategame, so i can afford to let an opponent's removal resolve and keep mana open for instants.
Teferi's Ageless Insight should help draw extra cards later in the game and combo's nicely with Frantic Inventory.
All my decks are made from scratch by me.
Usually I upload decks shortly after making them, so I tend to edit them after uploading.
Most of the time I play in platinum on Arena, using mostly decks I uploaded here.
I dislike playing meta decks, especially ones with little interactivity.
Any suggestions or criticism about my decks are appreciated.
