I've been interested in the card Rigo, Streetwise Mentor since I saw it. This is my second attempt to make a bant weenie deck based on him. After doing the turf brawl and seeing the Rigo deck there a couple of things clicked for me. First, is Exotic Pets I have to admit this card completely flew under my radar until I actually saw it used with Rigo, then I knew it was going to be perfect. After fine tuning the deck a bit more to have a way to build up a bigger threat than just 1/1s with some Brokers Ascendancys, wedding announcements, and two planeswalkers it's definitely a surprisingly good deck! Second, was simply the fact that my original bant weenie deck stupidly enough didn't have that many creatures because I was too hung up on the idea of how I'm going to address threats, so I just ended up having too much midrange-control type stuff in there. This is much more focused and it definitely benefits because of it.
I started the climb back to mythic again with the season ending and so far this deck has been smashing its way through platinum with the only real losses being misplays or mana screws. Give it a shot if you have the cards and like the idea!
