Greetings friends!
I have a spicy brew for you today showcasing many new cards from Zendikar Rising. Our deck attempts to destroy the opponents lands while leveraging the card Confounding Conundrum. In the early game Confounding Conundrum will cantrip to replace itself and naturally hate Uro decks.
To fight off early aggressive decks we have 4 Shock and 3 Scorching Dragonfire. Sea Gate Stormcaller allows us to copy these spells if given the chance.
While Confounding Conundrum is in play if we copy Cleansing Wildfire the opponent is set back a land. This also works with Field of Ruin during the opponents turn. Additional copies of Confounding Conundrum allow us to really put a hurting on the opponents manabase with just a singe Cleansing Wildfire.
Into the Roil is the perfect tool to bounce any permanents that get onto the battlefield before our engine is set up. With the kicker we are still able to copy it with Sea Gate Stormcaller gaining an additional draw. Ancient Greenwarden allows us to play Field of Ruin from our graveyard continuing the land destruction play. It also functions as a large wall that aggressive decks must fight through.
This deck is built with the Bo1 meta in mind, but can easily be adapted for Bo3. I'm very excited for this deck and will be building a sideboard and posting it in the discord.
