Description

Ever wanted to draw your entire deck and slooooowly kill your opponent or kill them in a single final turn? Then this deck might be for you!

The gameplan is simple, stay alive until you draw and resolve an Omniscienceimage. Once you do, draw your entire deck with Dovin's Acuityimage. You can then procede to cast an infinite number of Depose//Deploy by shuffling them back with Devious Cover-Upimage. You could also mill their deck in a single turn with Psychic Corrosionimage. Or you could just wait and counter all the spells of your opponent until they mill out naturally.

I was kinda bored or the current standard meta lately, having a lot of non games against specific matchups (my jank Scapeshiftimage and Crucible of Worldsimage decks do not work very well against any of the current top tier decks), so I decided to create a budget mediocre deck that would still steal some games against those decks.

Here comes Dovin's Omniscience, some sort of control deck which is not that good, but still gets to play some cards against mono red and esper control! And draws cards, lots of them, all of them in fact.

The deck is completely centerd around Dovin's Acuityimage. Playing it once without benefiting from its ability to come back to our hand is usually pretty mediocre, it just cycles itself and gains a bunch of life. But once but start casting it several times, it becomes a powerhouse, drawing stupid amount of cards and gaining so much life!

We maximize the number of instants we can play during our turn. All of them provide a long term card advantage with Dovin's Acuityimage and help us get to our final key piece...

With Omniscienceimage on the battlefield, we can infiniterly repeat our card draw engine. Clear the Mindimage and Devious Cover-Upimage make sure we never mill out and can continue to cast infinite number of spells. Clear the Mindimage is theoretically not necessary to make the deck work, but is a safety valve that makes the deck much easier to play. Devious Cover-Upimage is much more potent: once we have 0 card in the library, we can counter our own cantrips to choose which cards we will draw next with Dovin's Acuityimage. Mind that Devious Cover-Upimage exiles the spell you're countering, so be careful when casting your spells. At some point, you may run out of spells to counter, but Clear the Mindimage will only shuffle the remaining pertinent spells to stay infinite!

Depose // Deployimage is here only for the Deploy part of the card. In the early game it gains us relevant life and create blockers to stay longer in the game. Once we go infinite, we can cast an infinite number of Deploy to gain an infinite amount of life and have all the attackers we need to close out the game. Psychic Corrosionimage kills the opponent in a cleaner way, but will not work against Nexus of Fateimage and Gaea's Blessingimage decks, which is a let down. A such, I don't always play it in the main deck. The thopters are weak to board wipes, but once we are at this point of the game, we should be able to counter all the troublesome spells easily.

Exactly, Devious Cover-up exiles the spell, so be careful not to exile clear the mind, depose//deploy or dovin's acuity! At this point, you will be left with only the useful spells: clear the mind and depose//deploy... if your opponent is not dead yet thanks to psychic corrosion.

I'm uh. Not seeing how Devious doesn't exile what it counters (here being your cantrips). You'd eventually run out of cantrips.

ithewitchfinder read the card again, but slower.

Devious Cover-up will steadily exile your deck to pieces, not really infinite.
