So what if Lorehold won't let you major in Mill? Doesn't mean you can't audit a few classes in it! This deck relies on symmetric draw (primarily in the form of Secret Rendezvous) and Rule of Law to mill out your opponent while preventing them from leveraging all the cards that you're giving them. There's loads of janky nonsense going on here, so hold onto your butts:
* Secret Rendezvous draws cards. Lookit you, meeting up with your "study buddy" in the stacks.
* Rule of Law means each player can only play one spell per turn. That's fine for you, there's plenty of other ways for you to use your mana.
* Cogwork Archivist lets you return the books you've checked out back to the library, so you don't accidentally win the mill race.
* Smothering Tithe taxes your opponent with each card you give them, ramping you if they can't pay.
* Emiel the Blessed lets you flicker your other creatures as long as you have the mana to do it, and Zirda, the Dawnwaker discounts that mana down to just 1. Your flicker targets include...
* Biblioplex Assistant and Returned Pastcaller set you another Rendezvous date. Charming Prince heals you up, smooths out your early draws, and let you flicker Emiel herself to dodge removal. Farsight Adept provides another source of symmetric draw.
* Quintorius, Field Historian churns out spirit tokens whenever a Secret Rendezvous gets returned or Cogwork Archivist refills your library.
* Plargg, Dean of Chaos digs you into some of your combo pieces, with Rule of Law and Secret Rendezvous being the prime targets. His flip side, Augusta, helps improve your blockers and lets you restock your library faster by untapping Cogwork Archivist.
Here's where it gets silly: so long as your opponent's available mana is less than twice your available mana (shouldn't be hard), Emiel + Zirda + Smothering Tithe + Farsight Adept is an infinite mill combo at instant speed. So long as you have more cards in library than they do (which Cogwork Archivist and Biblioplex Assistant enable), you win! And who says librarians don't have any fun?
