Description

# Historic Boros Bo3

You crave that fast & furious style of rushing your opponent to death, but don't really feel like playing RDW or Gruul because everyone does that? You want to destroy ugly combo decks like Kethis, Nexus or Reclamation that otherwise make your life miserable? You want to hit Teferi in the face? Then I got the right deck for you - It is fast, it is action packed, it is legion!

It is my go-to historic deck for ranked and events. I average a winrate of 72%/65% (play/draw) with around 150 games played.

# The deck

Legion's Landing // Adanto, the First Fortimage - The best aggressive 1 drop. Turn it into a land T3/T4

Dauntless Bodyguardimage - The second best aggressive 1 drop. Versatile in any stage of the game and often protects your "better" creatures to annoy the opponent.

Adanto Vanguardimage - Just your casual undying vampire that survives board-clear.

Tithe Takerimage - So you like instans and flash? I like taxes! This makes Settle the Wreckageimage cost 5 mana, which means you can attack with everything T4 and deal lots of damage.

Robber of the Richimage - I am in love. This little guy (or girl?) totally wrecks cotnrol and any deck with cheap flyers. It is a kill-on-sight creature that just feels good to play.

Tajic, Legion's Edgeimage - Very versatile haste attacker that improves your other creatures. Did you notive how most creatures in the deck are below 3 power? This is not a coincidence :)

Captain Lannery Stormimage - A match made in hell with Embercleaveimage. Provides high discounts to playing it and can get insanely strong, which means this can and will deal 10+ damage in matches.

Phoenix of Ashimage - A new additon. It sticks after board clear and provides a hard to block threat, is pumpable and gets mentored by Tajic, but it also takes the slot from Legion Warbossimage or Anax, Hardened in the Forgeimage. So choose your flavour wisely.

Embercleaveimage - Both Captain Lannery Stormimage and Legion's Landing // Adanto, the First Fortimage produce quick and easy mana to get this going. This is also the way to breach big green defenses. Note: Teferi, Time Ravelerimage counters flash.

Giant Killerimage - My secret weapon against Dream Trawlerimage. Just tap it! Also nice against big blockers. Note: If you destroy something big that blocks embercleave, the full trample damage gets through.

Bonecrusher Giantimage - Just another versatile answer to kill-on-sight creatures, mainly Priest of Forgotten Godsimage and Edgewall Innkeeperimage, which transforms into a nice attacker.

Purphoros's Interventionimage - An extremely versatile removal that deals with planeswalkers, really big green creatures and even provides another avenue to trigger Legion's Landing // Adanto, the First Fortimage

Deafening Clarionimage - Single copy to have something against RDW, RG Aggro and Adventures pre-sideboarding. Note: Tajic, Legion's Edgeimage prevents your other creatures from dying to this!

Castle Emberethimage - Another card that combos nicely with Captain Lannery Stormimage

Castle Ardenvaleimage - If you are really stuck with an empty board. Usually you get the Legion's Landing // Adanto, the First Fortimage going to get the same value for cheaper

# Sideboard

Sorcerous Spyglassimage - I basically play this in any deck.. You can disable any cheap planeswalkers or prevent annoying trigger effects, such as Witch's Ovenimage. Use against control decks.

Tibalt, Rakish Instigatorimage - Nice against the occasional life-gain deck you encounter. Also nice against control, because it survives board clear and prevents Absorbimage life-gain

Deafening Silenceimage - My secret weapon against Nexus of Fateimage and Kethis, the Hidden Handimage. Also nice against control and Doom Foretoldimage decks.

Lava Coilimage - Against creature-heavy decks. Gets rid of stuff like Questing Beastimage and Rekindling Phoeniximage

Heliod's Interventionimage - Against artifacts, control and Doom Foretoldimage.

Apostle of Purifying Lightimage - Graveyard hate and anti-mono-black.

Hushbringerimage - Against combo decks like elves or elementals. Note: This also prevents Tithe Takerimage and Anax, Hardened in the Forgeimage triggers.

Anax, Hardened in the Forgeimage - Against board-clear decks.

# Maybe

Unchained Berserkerimage - Another attacker against white

Legion Warbossimage - Just a nice attacker

Tectonic Giantimage - Generate card advantage against removal-heavy decks. Too slow?

Experimental Frenzyimage - More card advantage. Too slow?

Thalia, Guardian of Thrabenimage sounds like a really good choice, but I am too poor to carft it or buy the Anthology 2.
