A simple build around Knight of the Reliquary
THE PLAN:
You win by attacking with a massive Knight of the Reliquary or Terravore
. Terravore is more afficient, since it has trample.
The Gitrog Monster
is a sweet addition, since it helps getting lands into your graveyard and rewards using Knight.
Thalia, Guardian of Thraben
might not be worth it, but I think it won't interrupt you as much, since you can ramp with Paradise Druid
and "ramp" with Knight of the Reliquary. And a 2/1 with First Strike is an incredible afficient blocker in the early game.
2 Vraska Golgari Queen might work good, since they can get some lands in the graveyard. And the are removal...
REMOVAL:
4 Assassin's Trophy
, 1 Maelstrom Pulse
and 2 Find//Finality should do the job. 2 Shatter the Sky
are the emergency plan for huge and/or flying creatures or just a massive board that you have to face against. Assassin's Trophy can also hit your opponents lands to keep Terravore alive.
OTHER:
Crucible of Worlds
is a great land recursion and works perfectly with The Gitrog Monster.
Fall of the Thran
adds some spice by filling up the graveyards with lands for a surprise attack.
MANA BASE:
Knight of the Reliquary requires Forests and Plains, so most of the cards in the mana base are Plains and/or Forests.
Ghost Quarter
is a nice addition, since it puts two lands in graveyards at the same time. You can even grow your Knight by 2 if you use it on your own lands.
Sideboard:
Virulent Plague
against Field of the Dead
Agonizing Remors serves as hand disruption and graveyard hate
Destiny Spinner
against Counterspells.
Knight of Autum for some lifegain and artifact or enchantment removal.
Lyra Dawnbringer
against aggressive matchups.
Phyrexian Arena
for grindy matches.
Planar Cleansing
against planeswalker-heavy and combo strategies.
MAYBE:
Underrealm lich reduces the risk to mill yourself out due to The Gitrog Monster
UPDATE:
Main -1 Gitrog +1 Shadder.
Side +2 Virulent Plague -2 Knight of Autum
