Description

Simic Flash

Strengths
When it’s on the play it’s able to beat down while negating our opponent’s biggest threats.
You swift from 3 turns of defending and holding to tempo and go the aggresive route.

Weaknesses
The deck requires knowledge of the meta to understand when to pressure and when not to and how to play around certain cards
Gameplans are non-linear and highly adaptable depending on what our opponent does, making each game very hard to figure out.

The deck

23 lands and with 3 Once Upon a Timeimage you always have lands. At first turns you can often survive at 2 lands and trip into 2-3 lands next coming turns.

Frilled Mysticimage is a key card that is a game winner when it comes to switch from control to aggro.

Combined with Nightpack Ambusherimage Brineborn Cutthroatimage it only takes 1 turn to change to game if they get to stay.

We have taken out the classic Unsummonimage to replace it with a playset of Brazen Borrowerimage and 2 Aether Gustimage

Aether Gustimage Is a card i really like, i never thought of the cards to be this good but after seen Shouta Yasooka play Simic Food thru a bounch of Sultai Food using a playset of Aether Gustimage i blow my mind how good the card is. Not just vs oko decks Fires of Inventionimage decks too!

As for counter we have a whole family! Sinister Sabotageimage Quenchimage Mystical Disputeimage Essence Captureimage Frilled Mysticimage you can even sometimes consider Aether Gustimage as a counter.

For long game we can dig thru our deck using Spectral Sailorimage and Castle Vantressimage even Sinister Sabotageimage can be used to put some unwanted cards in the bin.

As it is our strenght to turn from control to aggro its also our weakness since its so hard to decide when to switch!

Sideboard

Shifting Ceratopsimage works well vs the oko decks and great vs light weight creaturedeck (mono red, gw, knights)
Aether Gustimage As i said above. its just great, im still thinking of putting more in mainboard.
Mass Manipulationimage Great topdeck card later on.
Negateimage More control vs the more noncreature decks like Fires of Inventionimage
Veil of Summerimage Protect us vs most of the top tier decks.
Oko, Thief of Crownsimage Speaks for it self. Fits many match-ups. Great vs rakdos sacdos to deal with Witch's Ovenimage

why? it's simic flash.. just leave mana open for counters and counter everything opponent plays until they get bored of watching you play by yourself and they concede.
