Add at least 100 different cards to your collection and set it as your Compare Collection on the manage page to see what cards from this deck you are missing.
Compare your MTG Arena Collection with AetherHub decklists or any other decks found on the web with the MTGA Assistant extension. Syncing your account will automatically upload your collection so you can see what cards you are missing right here.
Learn more Download For WindowsMy last deck featured Ill-Gotten Inheritance, and since then Arena Standard has seen that card alot more! I am happy to announce Mirror March. A very unique card, allowing you to create a possibly unlimited amount of tokens (Legendary Creatures need not apply). Great with creatures such as Pack Master and Charmed Stray, but also good with almost anything you can imagine! This is the world of Magic, as we already know.
Getting down to it, Mirror March is a support card. Do not try to base a deck around it. However it is a "key" support card, such as Healer's Hawk for Ajani's Pridemate. You have a 50/50 chance to win the coin flip, and each flip you win, you create token of the creature you brought into play.
Risen Reef is especially dangerous with this, as earlier I had the first Mirror March proc twice (drawing 9 cards), then the second proc'd 7 time!! thats 7x10... 70 Risen Reef proc's! This is where Clear the Mind (an extremely under used card and a Feldon's Cane on a stick!) comes into play, allowing you to cycle your Graveyard into your Library (also a great spell against those pesky Re-Animator deck's) and with 2 Clear the Mind you can do it indefinitly as long as the second one is not countered. I like running 3, as I can cycle the graveyard quicker in other decks, or use one on the opponent. Gaea's Blessing, eat your heart out.
Game play walk-through? This deck really does not need one as it plays much like your typical Risen Reef deck. I can typically play a Mirror March on 4th or 5th turn, allowing me to start trying for those great flips! Having 2 out is OPTIMAL, 3 is even better (I haven't been able to get 4 out, the opponent usually quits when they see Risen Reef proc 20-30 times with just one creature cast).
Charmed Stray, Gatebreaker Ram, Risen Reef, and my favorite Agent of Treachery are the best cards to use for Mirror March in this current deck build.
WARNING - MUST HAVE 3 MANA AVAILABLE FOR Clear the Mind BEFORE YOU PLAY Risen Reef!!!! EVEN JUST 1 Mirror March CAN AND WILL DECK YOU!
Good thing is Risen Reef itself, can not deck you, but the next draw card can.
Thats it for this deck. I have other decks I am tweaking to get just right, and this one seems to be complete. It's flow is great and I might Mulligan once, maybe... sometimes I rock with 2 land, especially if one is an Evolving Wilds that lets me get the much needed Forest for the land search cards.
I hope you all enjoy this deck as much as I have. Play it a few times against Sparky to get the hang of it, because Mirror March can be extremely tricky to understand. You can not use Legendary Creatures with it, unless they have enter or leaving battlefield effects that you like (Roalesk, Apex Hybrid is a good one).
As always, gimmie a comment if you think something would be a great change for this or even if you just like it!
And now, for Standard format to change drastically, once again. Last time, people started using Ill-Gotten Inheritance with Theater of Horrors. Such a great combination! What can ya''ll do with Mirror March?
Top Proc Count by myself:
Agent of Treachery x6 with 1x Mirror March's .
Risen Reef x9 with 2x Mirror March's. Making 70x Risen Reef ability proc's .
Gatebreaker Ram x3 (8/8) with 1x Mirror March .
Charmed Stray x6 with 2x Mirror March's .
34 Zombie's from Field of the Dead in one turn. Throw in a Divine Visitation to increase the chance of your opponent having to change their under-garments (I just steal them with the Agent )
Side note, you could throw in a few Druid's for creature mana, as its a great way to gain a ton of mana for a turn, but I have rarely gotten them out after 1 Mirror March on the board, so I took them out for more Fetch Land cards.
Magic is an elaborate game of chess, played with an infinite selection and combination of cards combined into 60 card decks. Showing your imagination and making "jank" non-jank, with balance across the curve is what every "True" Magic The Gathering Wizard should strive for.
My deck's are generally designed as "Toolbox" decks. Most of the cards work with eachother in some way or another. If you can understand the flows, then you can play as is.
