Explorer Anthology 2 Card List Complete

WotC, the MTG Arena team, along with content creators that were provided with spoiler previews, have finally assembled the entire set of cards slated to be released for Explorer Anthology 2. The release date is as announced prior, December 13, 2022, which coincides with a whole slew of different events for MTG Arena.

Initially, timeless meta classics like Dispel and Mutavault were highly anticipated and welcomed by players. Then, we suspected more Eldrazi to come after Thought-Knot Seer. While that didn't pan out as well as we thought it would, Explorer Anthology 2 still added quite a good number of them, including Kozilek, the Great Distortion, World Breaker, and Eldrazi Displacer. 

Later, the reveal of arguably random additions such as Sliver Hivelord seemed to have divided players momentarily once again. Though, at the last minute, the sneak peek of Mana Confluence and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx proved once and for all that it is indeed a worthy succeeding set.

The entire list provides 24 cards, a bit more than the 20 previous cards of the first Explorer Anthology. Again, Wastes will be included as a free addition for all players upon Explorer Anthology 2’s release.

Keep in mind that Explorer Anthology 2 cards will also be legal in Historic. Also, wildcard crafting for these cards will be available starting March 7th next year.

Cost: 4,000 gems or 25,000 gold

Availability: December 13, 2022 to March 7, 2023.
