Alchemy: The Brothers’ War Card List, Events, and Details

Alongside Explorer Anthology 2, MTG Arena also started doing regular previews of Alchemy: The Brothers’ War. This will provide yet another addition to the digital-only format, introducing cards once again set on Dominaria, and showcasing abilities and mechanics both unique to Alchemy and (re)introduced exclusively to The Brothers’ War.

Among the new cards featured, recurring digital-only mechanics will include:

• Spellbook – access to a list of cards outside the game (specifically designated)
• Conjure – creating a named card, usually to be added to hand
• Seek – randomly tutoring a card with the written criteria
• Intensity – progressively changing the stats of a card during a game (regardless of location)
• Perpetually – permanently changing the stats of the card during a game (regardless of location)

As for recurring The Brothers’ War mechanics:

• Prototype – cards cast with a different size, color, and cost. Abilities are unchanged.
• Unearth – returns a card from the graveyard to the battlefield with haste. Exiled at the start of the next end step.

There will be a total of 30 new cards for Alchemy: The Brothers’ War. Its release date is the same as Explorer Anthology 2, which is on December 13, 2022.
