on unblockable creatures is stupid valuable, and you can sift for lands with explore creatures.
Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca
is hugely powerful. She can be unblockable basically all the time given the tempo of this deck, she's a decent blocker, and she allows you to leave 3 merfolk untapped as blockers (some merfolk that weren't currently unblockable, by preference) and tap them at instant speed before your turn for a draw.

in GPG decks, The Scarab God
in scarab god decks, Teferi, Hero of Dominaria
in turbofog, etc.

Kopala, Warden of Waves
is excellent against the meta right now. There's so much red or Rakdos aggro going around that preboarding for burn spells, push, and cast down can actually pay off.

I'm still working with land balance. Strangely enough, 20 feels like PLENTY. Turns out with the ludicrous amount of fairly inexpensive drawpower in this deck it's pretty easy to hit land drops.

The only mainboard cards that drop out of standard on October 5th are Botanical Sanctum
, and unfortunately Heroic Intervention
which is great against board wipes from sideboard, but that's still pretty cool...
