Played 7:0 with my last iteration. I am beginning to master this draw go thing^^

I'm currently trying to get the perfect counter spell/interaction package to have an answer against everything while beeing flexible with my draws and choices throughout the game.

If Syncopate would have fixed CMC like 2-3 maybe UW/UB or 1UU it would be so broken.
While Syncopate is a powerhouse when played for CMC 2 against graveyard pest, I found that 4 was too much because you don't want to spend 5 Mana plus on a counter lategame when you need to hold up mana for other stuff like drawing cards or double protection.
I see it as a tech choice against Earthshaker Khenra and Champion of Wits. I guess 2-3 is the right count as you have more efficient stuff like Essence Scatter and Negate with real CMC 2.

Supreme Will is a solid midgame engine to lategame finisher card and can get you out of situations for the least mana of all your instant speed drawing options:

Arch of Orazca = 6 Lands, 1 card deep random, once each enemy end step

Hieroglyphic Illumination = 4 Lands, 2 cards deep random

Azcanta, the Sunken Ruin = 4 Lands, 4 cards deep, pick 1, once each enemy end step

SUPREME WILL = 3 Lands, 4 cards deep, pick 1 + counter option

I guess we want 4 of those.

I mostly think about the Essence Scatter, Negate and Cancel (Cancel #5-8??) split.

Commit // Memory is also a strong option.

I would tend to 3-4 Essence Scatter in Aggro Meta but since there are many people playing their loved planeswalker mystics, search for azcanta and other noncreature shenanigans, I play 2 Negate, 4 Cast Out and hope I get their Turn 2 pest with Syncopate.

Manabase wise I want to try a version with more basics so we get our UU turn 3 and WW turn 4 with the most consistency.

With 16 copies of lands that produce U (blue Mana) you get this probability:

Turn 3 (9 Cards drawn on the play)

We want 2 or more copies of target one color.

P (X>=2) > 75%

Turn 4 or Turn 3 on the draw we get P (X>=2) > 80% [10 Cards drawn]

Turn 4 on the draw: P (X>=2) > 85% [11 Cards drawn]

I'm not too sure about Ipnu Rivulet, Memorial to Genius and Scavenger Grounds.
I consider cutting Ipnu to 1 as we only need it late and I tend to draw a lot.

Memorial to Genius sucks in the way that it's tapped and we can often get better carddraw engine without sacrificing our protection mana.

Scavenger Grounds is for sure a good card against Scarab and Embalm/Eternalize but I'm not using it too often since I lose mana in the trade and I exile their stuff anyway with Syncopate and Settle the Wreckage. Maybe I would be better off by just playing more Field of Ruins or Basics.

Field of Ruin is a beast and I consider 3 but take 2 for colors.

Arch of Orazca gets activated with itself plus 5 lands and 4 copies of:
- Search for Azcanta
- Seal Away
- Cast Out
- Teferi, Hero of Dominaria

But with the cutting of a Cast Out and no other permanents like Gideon, Treasure Map and Karn, Scion of Urza I found that we either not activate it, we have better efficiency on other draw spells (so win more) or we dont see our UU t3, WW t4. And it draws a lot of hate in form of Field of Ruin, it covers our Azcanta but meh...

I will try without Arch and feel good about my Manabase's Consistency I guess.

Rest of the deck is pretty straight forward, I just shaved some Hieroglyphic Illumination and Cast Out. Could play 4 in some kind of split.

Sometimes I member some softlocks with Ixalan's Binding but then I realize that Cast Out is better.
