Gruul Legends step up to help red aggro in alternative game plans!

Introduction

This is a Gruul aggro deck using a mono-red aggro deck as a basis and including Samut, Vizier of Naktamun and Halana and Alena, Partners from Gruul. This is an evolution of my previous Gruul Aggro deck. In this version:

• I removed Thundering Raijus and Feldon, Ronom Excavator.
• I added Charming Scoundrel, Goddric, Cloaked Reveler, and Halana and Alena, Partners.

I wanted a bit more Gruul action in this version, hence the addition of Halana and Alena, Partners.

The deck has some alternative game plans compared to red aggro:

• Draw cards with Samut, Vizier of Naktamun.
• Make your creatures bigger with Halana and Alena, Partners.
• Block your opponent's creatures with Samut, Vizier of Naktamun.

Format

• The deck is for the Standard format, as of October 2023, with Wilds of Eldraine being the last legal set.
• The deck is probably Tier 1 or Tier 1.5 caliber.
• The deck can be played in both Bo1 and Bo3.
• The deck is pretty fast, and thus it's suitable for quickly grinding a large number of wins in the MTG Arena ladder.

Strategy

Main Deck Synergies

Charming Scoundrel and Goddric, Cloaked Reveler

Charming Scoundrel and her Wicked Role token count as two permanents, wherefore playing her while Goddric is in play will trigger his celebration ability.

Charming Scoundrel and Halana and Alena, Partners 

You can place the Wicked Role token on Halana and Alena increasing the number of +1/+1 counters given by them.

Goddric, Cloaked Reveler and Sokenzan, Crucible of Defiance

Channeling Sokenzan creates two permanents, and therefore it will cause Goddric's celebration ability to trigger.

Goddric, Cloaked Reveler and Squee, Dubious Monarch

Goblin tokens created by Squee help Goddric to turn into a dragon more easily.

Halana and Alena, Partners and Kumano Face Kakkazan

With appropriate timing, you can cast Halana and Alena with a +1/+1 counter from Kumano Faces Kakkazan, increasing the number of +1/+1 counters given by Halana and Alena.

Halana and Alena, Partners and Samut, Vizier of Naktamun

Samut greatly benefits from +1/+1 counters from Halana and Alena, as he has first strike and vigilance. If Samut grows greatly, it will be hard for an opponent to block him or attack through him.

Samut, Vizier of Naktamun and Sokenzan, Crucible of Defiance

The tokens created by Sokenzan also trigger the card drawing ability of Samut, turning the channel land into a potential "draw two cards" effect.
