Obviously not the most creative deck if you add Teferi, Time Raveler
, Narset, Parter of Veils
, Elspeth Conquers Death
and Dream Trawler
. No need to explain why these are good. All the cards we love or hate.
But with Ikoria we get Narset of the Ancient Way
and this card is OP as well. Lifegain, Mana and if you combine it with expensive spells it brings even more value to the table. Boon of the Wish-Giver
for example. You can buff your Dream Trawler, cycle it or feed it to Narset of the Ancient Way to kill a Gyruda, Doom of Depths
or a Nissa, Who Shakes the World
. And if Narset of the Ancient Way gets her ultimate going, it is usually game over anyway.
Furthermore we have a Sharknado now. Shark Typhoon
is such a beautiful stupid insane card. I love it. It also synergizes with Narset of the Ancient Way, can create a surprise blocker thanks to the cycling effect or if you bring it onto the board, you will get an endless supply of annoying big flying sharks.
I really like Whirlwind of Thought
but it is just an addition to the deck. The card draw is good anyway. So I cut the amount form 3 to 1 because of the current decks that are played. At the moment Karn, the Great Creator
is absolutly crucial against the Cat Oven, stealer of precious lifetime, combo or to fetch Soul-Guide Lantern
if you compete with Gyruda, Doom of Depths decks. Then you should also find your Clear the Mind
and hold it tight. You'll probably need it.
Definitely not a deck to rank fast, but it is super strong and has a lot of answers to the most decks that are played right now in the pre-meta phase.
