When piecing together this deck, my priority was to make sure it would still function even if Kaalia was stuck in the command zone costing 10. Kaalia is a removal magnet, and rightly so. It can be tempting to jam all the high cmc demons, angels and dragons to showboat, but I think an effective deck requires a balanced approach. Low mana value cards are important, too, for the early game (and to make sure Belzenlok doesn't just kill you).
