This is the monoblack zombie deck I am currently playing with in MTG Arena. Trying to make Finale of Eternity
work here. It works as both a win condition and a pseudo-boardwipe depending on the value of X you are working with. Here, Cabal Stronghold
is important for getting to the mana for using Finale of Eternity's ultimate and to cast Liliana, Dreadhorde General
as soon as possible.
I am still testing this one out, but it definitely is fun for playing around.
Not exactly sure if I want to use Diregraf Ghoul
instead of Stitcher's Supplier
in this list. As Diregraf Ghoul can apply significantly more pressure to opponents when compared with Stitcher's Supplier.
Given the current meta where Search for Azcanta // Azcanta, the Sunken Ruin
and Legion's Landing // Adanto, the First Fort
are so crucial, I am not entirely sure if including Field of Ruin
is too detrimental for the deck's mana ramping with Cabal Stronghold.
We have a tough match-up against swarm decks, as an early Legion's Landing // Adanto, the First Fort or March of the Multitudes
can be too overwhelming. For this case, I am working with a response such as sideboarding Golden Demise
, but it still is too soon for me to take any conclusions.
Ob Nixilis, the Hate-Twisted
in the sideboard is a response that is currently very succesful to Control and Fog decks, as they are prone to extend the game far too much and drawing cards with Growth Spiral
and Chemister's Insight
. For this match-up, Liliana, Untouched by Death
is also very helpful for the noncombat damage she deals.
We run 26 lands and so we are a bit prone to flooding, which isn't the end of the world, as Finale of Eternity with high X is very powerful, Liliana, Dreadhorde General has a high cost, and on top of that God-Eternal Bontu
allows us to cycle through sacrificing any surplus of land we might have in exchange for card draw.
